Consistency > Talent

At M.A.B. Training, we believe showing up once doesn’t change your game. Showing up over and over again — with purpose — does.

Led by Coach Janvier Alaby, a former college basketball player and dedicated & experienced youth coach, these small group sessions are built for athletes who want more than casual training. They're for players serious about growth — on and off the court.

💡 Why Small Group Training?

🏀 Game-Like Reps That Actually Translate

Basketball isn’t a solo sport — and your training shouldn’t always be either. Our small group sessions mimic real-game situations, giving players the chance to sharpen their passing, defense, decision-making, and reactions in a live setting, not just during isolated drills.

⚡ Built-In Motivation

When athletes train alongside peers who are just as driven, something shifts. Positive peer pressure kicks in. Effort goes up. Focus locks in.
The energy of the group fuels progress — without needing to force it.

🔁 More Touches. More Reps. More Progress.

Unlike crowded team practices where kids stand around waiting their turn, small group training keeps athletes active and engaged.
More shots. More feedback. More opportunities to improve with every session.

🤝 Confidence Through Community

Consistency builds confidence — but so does connection. When young athletes work alongside others who show up week after week, they build friendships, support systems, and a sense of belonging that makes them stronger competitors.

📚 Off-Day Homework: Building Habits Beyond the Court

Skill development doesn’t stop when practice ends — and neither does our coaching.
At M.A.B. Training, athletes receive short, focused homework drills to complete on their off days. These include:

  • Ball handling routines

  • Footwork sequences

  • Form shooting reps

  • Defensive stance work

Each drill is age-appropriate and designed to reinforce what we’re building in the gym.

But this isn’t just “extra credit.” It’s part of the process.
We believe the biggest gains happen when athletes take ownership of their growth — and we hold them accountable for the work they do outside the session.

The gym is where we train. Off-days are where habits are built.
